We will celebrate birthdays in our classroom if a child's birthday falls on a school day. Due to changes in school policy, birthdays will be recognized and can be celebrated with food items, but only from our approved list. Please discuss food allergies in your class with your teacher. Food for a birthday must be dropped off the morning of the birthday, and we will most likely celebrate in the afternoon, depending on our schedule that day.
Birthdays at school are not traditional birthday parties. Please do not send foods that are not on the list below, and goodie bags will not be distributed at school.
We can only distribute birthday invitations at school or by folder if the entire class is invited, or if a boy invites all the boys or a girl invites all the girls. We cannot distribute invitations that exclude any students.
Here is a list of healthy birthday snacks you can bring for your child! Please drop it off with your child in the morning when he/she comes to school! Also, please make sure there is enough for each child in the class (24 students).
· Plain Popcorn
· Pretzels
· Frozen Yogurt
· Yogurt / Add Fruit
· Muffins (blueberry)
· Fruit Kabobs
· Goldfish
· String Cheese
